The release of HIM's new album has been postponed till September. It was previously announced that the Helsinki band's eagerly awaited album will be released in the middle of July. Now the band's American record label Sire has decided to postpone the international release.

The record is currently being mixed in Los Angeles. Ville Valo is overseeing the mixing together with the band's long-time producer Tim Palmer. Also the band's manager, Seppo Vesterinen, flew to the United States yesterday.

HIM's sixth album was recorded during February, March and April in Helsinki at Finnvox studios.

It was also announced yesterday that HIM will go to an extensive US tour in July. The band will have a chance to play in front of tens of thousands of listeners at Linkin Park's festival tour between July 25 and September 3. In addition to HIM and Linkin Park amongst others My Chemical Romance and Placebo will play the main stage.

Having the chance to play in a tour with the popular Linkin Park likely changed the release schedule of the new album.

The postponement of the record release or the US tour (=Projekt Revolution) won't affect the previously announced gigs. HIM will play at Miljoonarock in Tuuri and Ilosaarirock in Joensuu and at the gigs with Metallica for example at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium and the Wembley in London.
